This role is remote. The ideal candidate will live in the Midwest.

This Director Dealer Training and Operations Consulting is responsible for the transformation of our dealer network by enabling an accountable, performance driven dealer culture that drives increased sales, implements retail best practices and delivers impeccable customer experiences in alignment with Harley-Davidson s strategic imperatives and growth plans. The individual is responsible for the development and execution of a strategy for both Harley-Davidson University and Dealer Consulting to foster collaborative learning and sharing of dealer best practices with the goal of improving overall dealer network performance, building ridership and increasing revenue. Collaboration with field sales, marketing, Advanced Analytics, Service and Customer Care are imperative to deliver initiatives focused on increasing ridership and contributing to dealer performance and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

Ensures that key company and retail transformation strategies, initiatives and concepts are integrated into a cohesive, impactful curriculum that utilizes appropriate learning techniques and drives change and results
Ensures that dealer learning & development continuously evolves to stay aligned or ahead of the changing marketplace in support of our retail transformation
Increase vehicle sales revenue by developing and implementing a high-performance sales culture in dealerships by clearly defining dealer sales and support roles and responsibilities, implementing best-in-class processes and procedures and reinforcing accountability at all levels of the dealership.
Improve lead capture and conversion by leveraging current data and insights, recommend process improvements and facilitate best practice sharing to affect change and increase sales. Identify opportunities within the dealer network to drive the implementation, adoption and overall effectiveness of new and existing lead conversion programs.
Lead the delivery of new and existing programs to drive best-in-class dealer training on test ride conversions to increase sales. Actively monitor identified KPIs and overall effectiveness of existing programs to identify opportunities for improvement and drive necessary changes to ensure goal achievement.
Drive increase in dealership General Merchandise and Parts & Accessories sales through the development and delivery of training and programs to improve merchandising, sales techniques, inventory management and dealership staffing.
Drive increase in dealership service business operational efficiency and customer experiences through the service department. Support the implementation of best practices to drive sales through the service organization.
Drive increase in sales through the development and delivery of programs to improve retention of existing and new customers.
Responsible for project and program management, including oversight for the dealer consulting process, dealer relationship management and field communication. Oversees and ensures quality, accuracy and timeliness of all project plan deliverables within the Dealer Performance team.
Up to 25% travel required

Education Requirements
Bachelor s Degree Required
Master s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

Experience Requirements
Typically requires a minimum of 12 years related experience.
Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
Extensive and proven track record in dealership management, sales and retail environment/operations
Proven leadership skills with a significant track record of leading complex change management and transformational efforts and programs
Prior experience utilizing business results and P&L statements to inform action plans and critical decisions
Leadership capability in critical and/or highly emotional project settings, and ability to provide sound judgment and decision-making in ambiguous and high-stakes situations.
Demonstrated ability to effectively and clearly present information, including excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
Strong team player and demonstrated ability to accept accountability and responsibility for personal decisions and actions.
Experience taking on tough business challenges and skill in navigating crucial conversations
Preferred
Knowledge and experience of dealer relations, dealer operations, dealer management systems, and field organizations
Knowledge of Harley-Davidson products, distribution, systems, functions, culture, and motorcycle industry
