POSITION
Summary:

Responsible for supervising a teller staff to deliver a positive client experience while maintaining the branch operational integrity. Provide guidance to tellers and Consumer Banking Representatives (CBRs) with client transactions, balancing daily settlements and meeting client needs. Requires an ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current clients, colleagues and represent First Midwest Bank in a positive and professional manner.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

High school education or equivalent

Minimum 12 months combined work experience a Teller or Sales Associate and/or supervisor experience in a retail or customer service environment

6 months as a supervisor in a retail, customer service or financial institution preferred

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to provide work direction and motivate others

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales/referral goals

Known to be reliable, dependable and responsible

Strong problem solving and organizational skills

Able to work various hours of the day/week, including Saturdays and occasional overtime as business dictates. Must be able to travel to multiple branch locations on a regular basis

DUTIES/
Responsibilities:

Supervise Teller staff at multiple branch locations and direct the day-to-day branch activities including:
teller and vault balancing/differences, cash ordering/shipping, capturing/scanning of teller work, ordering supplies, completing scheduled reports and ensuring an excellent client experience at every point of contact.

Assist in the recruitment and selection process of new Teller staff. Coach, train, direct and provide feedback to Teller staff. Complete and deliver formal performance scorecards and reviews. Recommend or initiate disciplinary action as necessary.

Ensure Tellers and CBR s are trained in bank policy/procedure and all federal and state laws. Maintain audit compliance and adhere to audit controls to consistently achieve satisfactory audit ratings.

Serve as a resource to all branch personnel when handling difficult client inquiries, situations or transactions. Utilize all available sources to resolve problems. Make recommendations to management which may enhance efficiency and profitability within the branch.

Provide technical guidance and training to all branch colleagues as it relates to branch operations, monitors regulatory and compliance changes, and takes appropriate actions; ensures compliance with outside regulations and corporate procedures.

Ensure effective Lobby Management to optimize the client experience, promote branch efficiency, and fulfill on sales objectives. Ensure effective and timely scheduling of all branch colleagues to fulfill the client experience and support sales initiatives.

Meet or exceed all established referral goals assigned by identifying the needs of potential and existing clients, offer appropriate products and services, and refer qualified clients. Provide guidance to Tellers on development, achievement of branch/individual sales/referral goals and expectations in their role.

Approve transactions within assigned authority limits using discretion and independent judgment while ensuring that the Bank s policies and security procedures are being followed.

Operate a teller cash drawer and serve clients with their financial needs.

Participate in all required training sessions for Compliance. Maintain adequate controls to ensure compliance with consumer protection statutes/regulations in a defined area of responsibility

Implement bank-directed changes relating to regulatory amendments.

Attend and participate in Training classes offered by First Midwest specific to the Teller Supervisor position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
