The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join our team as a Logistics Manager.

Job Summary

This position will strategically lead the execution of the logistics operations in the Order to Cash (OTC) process for Motorcycles, Parts & Accessories (Parts & Accessories), and General Merchandise (General Merchandise) for the region. This person will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders throughout the organization to establish the systems, processes, and practices necessary for the business? logistics processes. This role is the subject matter expert as it relates to logistics process for the region (inbound, outbound, export, 3PL management, transportation and warehousing).

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and manage the internal relationships and business partnerships with product groups
  • Source, manage and implement new external contracts with third party logistics providers
  • Manage the external relationships and service level agreements with our third party logistics providers partners (warehousing, transportation, customs brokerage) at finished goods warehouses across the globe
  • Manage trade compliance of product (materials and finished goods) imported and exported out of all dealer-facing distribution sites
  • Design, establish and manage key performance indicators (Key Performance Indicators) in a manner that is consistent across the company
  • Owns process governance for Logistics (health of process, adherence to process and process improvement)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Order Management and Demand/Supply Planning to ensure agreed upon service levels are being met and issues are being resolved in a timely manner
  • Lead team and engage across Commercial Operations as part of operations management team

Required

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Third party logistics management experience
  • Experience with developing or managing budgets
  • Effective communication, collaboration, negotiation, leadership, coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills
  • Experience in project management and leading high level projects is required, including contract negotiation and RFQ development

Preferred

  • Experience in international logistics and customs compliance is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with apparel/textiles, vehicles, aftermarket service parts industries is strongly preferred.
