Summary:
This Senior Cost Analyst will support both current and new product cost analysis for castings/forgings. This position will be regarded as the Cost Expert within the casting/forging commodity group at the Product Development Center. They will be very hands-on; working through the cost estimates and analysis for casting/forging projects through their full lifecycle.
The Senior Cost Analyst will support cost negotiations by providing direct industry experience and support the preparation of recurring 'should-cost' BOM estimates. The Senior Cost Analyst will also develop and implement relevant cost management strategies within high impact commodity groups specifically designed for castings/forgings.
This group works very closely with Engineers, Supply Base Analysts, and Senior Management to ensure that their projects meet quality and cost benchmarks. This person will know the intimate details of the casting and forging components for the next generation of H-D motorcycles.
Education Required:
Bachelors of Science (BS) degree required. Preferred fields of study are Finance or Engineering.
Experience Required:
5
years of experience with detailed cost estimation
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing processes, part production flow/cycle times, and material utilization
Prior experience with castings/forgings
The ideal candidate would have recent casting/forging experience working on projects from raw material through manufacturing and to the finished component
Concise communication skills, detail oriented mindset, and is considered to be a strong team player who can work with broad base of technical, operations, and finance peers
