PRODUCT MANAGER
Our client engineers, manufactures and markets some of the world's most sought-after equipment within their industry!! Due to their continued growth and commitment to broadening their product line portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Product Manager. Under the direction of the Vice President Sales & Marketing, this key hire will be responsible for managing, developing and maintaining one of my client's most profitable and growing product lines and will also be pivotal in driving new product development.
PROFILE WE ARE SEEKING:
The Ideal candidate will have experience with consumer or commercial durables, be able to lead cross-functional teams (without direct reporting authority), have proven project management and product development skills, have the ability to effectively manage product line P&Ls, and have excellent communications/presentation skills.
THE CHALLENGE:
Develop new product specifications, follows product from initial development to product launch to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded.
Participate in developing sales goals, forecasts, pricing and discount structures to enhance sales, margins and maintain a competitive product line
Negotiate with OEM suppliers on costs, exclusivity agreements, and product features. Responsible for managing the OEM suppliers (with purchasing and engineering) to adhere to product and business commitments.
Participate in product modification, cost reduction, margin analysis, product positioning and pricing strategies
Responsible for maintaining: product availability and costs, competitive analysis, historical and current market trends, defining customers and channels to reach them.
Assist sales team with product line presentations to key customers.
Assist Marketing Communications and Vice President in developing marketing programs, advertising, direct mail pieces, and literature specific to product line.
Participate in trade-shows, dealer meetings, and other similar events
Work with Technical Customer Service to develop product manuals, technical bulletins, training programs, new product roll-outs
Communicate all pertinent product information through all channels: customer service, technical service, sales, dealers and target market customers

Qualifications:
BS/BA in marketing, business, or engineering required. MBA preferred.
Five (5) - ten (10) years business experience with significant product or classic marketing management.
Strong leadership skills, able to work with multi-disciplined teams. A take charge attitude with high level of self-motivation, with ability to successfully operate in a matrix environment.
Strong interpersonal sales and public presenting skills required.
Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
