Software Architect - Big Data
We have an immediate contract opportunity with a large F500 client in the Milwaukee, WI area.
Our client is looking for a Software Architect with solid experience in Big Data. The Big Data Architect will provide service guidance and develop cross-organizational relationships to develop a Big Data service based on Big Data Processing eco system such as Hadoop.
Must Haves:
o BS/MS/PhD in Operations Research/Statistics/Computer Science or a related technical discipline
oCan demonstrate extensive programming experience in one or more languages like Python/Java/C/C++
oLead the development and delivery of a set of Operational Service
. Design data and information security in managing bigdata
oDeliver analytics base on these technology to help deliver JCI business objectives
oDesign and build scalable infrastructure and platform to collect and process very large amounts of data (structured and unstructured), including streaming real-time sensor data.
oWork closely across an array of various teams and organizations in the company and industry (including partners, customers and researchers).
Education and Experience
oExperience with a range of big data architectures, including OpenStack, Hadoop, Pig, Hive or other big data frameworks. To include Pig, Pig-latin, Sqoop, Impala, HBase, R.
Experience with a range of traditional data management technologies including RDBMS, EIA, MDM, etc.
Must be an expert in Unix system programming and other system related configuration.
oExperience building large scale distributed data processing systems/applications or large-scale internet systems (cloud computing).
oStrong foundational knowledge and experience with distributed systems, performance analysis and computing systems in general. Hands-on engineering skills.
oBroad understanding and experience of real-time analytics, NoSQL data stores, data modeling and data management, analytical tools, languages, or libraries (e.g. SAS, SPSS, R, Mahout).
oBachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, higher degrees preferred.
