Web/Front-End Product Support Engineer
We have an immediate contract opportunity with a large F500 client in the Milwaukee, WI area.
Our client is looking for a Software Product Support Engineer within their Data Analytics and Governance Group which manages data analytics focused on delivering value to our customers through compelling products and services. The technology platform is based on Big Data Processing ecosystems such as Hadoop, as well as traditional Relational Database Management Systems.
Responsibilities
o Design and implement data product applications.
o Build proof-of-concept designs, data mesh up and analysis
o Present your own designs to internal/external groups and review designs of others.
o Bring a relentless focus on user experience and design to ensure features drive high adoption and customer delight.
o Build and/or collaborate with other departments on front-end applications and user interface
o Work closely with Engineering to develop data acquisition strategy, implement and automate data sourcing mechanisms.
o Create plan to integrate all internal data
o Coordinate activities with the business regions and functional departments
o Adopt, embrace, and promote agile and test-driven practices with your peers.
o Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes.
Qualifications
o Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Strong experience with front-end web tier (JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, and cross-browser development) and back-end (Java, SQL) software development.
o Solid knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational databases.
o Strong experience working with cross-functional teams in developing software / products.
o Experience using Big Data processing platform (Hadoop).
o Experience building Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
o Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development.
