Our client has a temporary need for an additional member of their Security Incident Response Team (SIRT), the Lead Security Operations Center Analyst provides real-time monitoring of the global computing environment for security incidents, investigates suspicious activity, triages and correlates events, conducts technical analysis of network traffic and endpoint systems, and escalates incidents to Incident Response team members.
#### What You Will Be Doing
First and Second level monitoring and investigation of information security events
Working with external security service providers to receive and investigate escalations
Investigating alerts generated by complex network, endpoint, and log analysis platforms
Assisting in the identification, containment, eradication, and recovery of larger incidents
Providing feedback on the tuning of signatures, rules, alerts, parsers, and custom scripts
Managing workflow and updating of Incident Management and trouble ticket systems
Performing proactive vulnerability assessments and coordinating remediation efforts
#### What You Need for this Position
Minimum 5 years of information security experience
Prefer experience with one or more of the following technologies: RSA NetWitness, Fireeye, Archer, Checkpoint Firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, Sourcefire IDS/IPS, or Encase
Strongly prefer industry-adopted security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, GIAC Certified Incident Handler , GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst
Professional Skill Requirements:

Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Desire to work in an information systems environment
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
