Job Description
Advicent Solutions,a leading provider of SaaS technology solutions for the financial services industry, is seeking an Associate Software Developer to program and develop web-based applications and serve as a technical resource on projects.As an Associate Software Developer at Advicent, your responsibilities will include the following:
Develop rich client web and Windows based applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript, AJAX, C+
and other current technologies
Work with management, technical leads and other team members to develop cutting-edge applications
Develop unit tests and build scripts to support continuous integration for your applications for bug free releases
Stay on top of technology and share your knowledge with others
Take advantage of weekly research time to research and experiment with new technologies, tools and techniques
Assist with maintaining, enhancing, and adding onto Advicent's product suite
Provide general assistance in the systems design process and through the systems development lifecycle
Assist in product deployment, including, but not limited to creation, installation, training, and maintenance
Skills/Requirements
B.S. in computer science or information systems technology
Demonstrate a high level of creativity and problem solving skills
Skilled with C+
and/or C#
Ability to demonstrate solid development technical concepts
Ability to work on self-directed tasks and complete work independently
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Possess a high level of organizational, creativity and problem solving skills
Working knowledge using various Internet and Windows design methodologies, patterns, and architecture
Familiar with web service programming
Familiar with Agile software development methodologies is preferred
Familiar with object-oriented principles such as SRP, OCP, LSP, DIP, and ISP is preferred
Microsoft certification is a plus
Financial industry experience is a plus.
