accountant
to be located at our corporate headquarters in Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities:
-Oversee the balance sheet reconcile subjective balance sheet accounts, including warranty and E&O, review journal entries, perform monthly balance sheet analysis, and serve as the super user for Cadency and BPC for Milwaukee Operations.
-Research GAAP/IFRS for appropriate
accounting
guidance and document in technical memos.
-Perform financial benchmarking to determine, document and implement best industry
practices
, including implementing lean practices.
-Analyze inventory balances. Determine the baseline inventory value and prepare the inventory forecast. Review the E&O inventory listing for Milwaukee Operations and work with the appropriate personnel (including engineering, supply chain, factory personnel, etc) to determine inventory actions. Review and report the cycle count results, including accuracy and % counted.
-Analyze monthly and quarterly financial data, comparing budget to actual, investigating variances and performing other analytics. Provide results in a concise format to be used by
management
to make key business decisions.
-Prepare the weekly cash forecast, investigate deviations from expectation, and communicate results to treasury. Perform analysis over foreign exchange risk and determine the hedge strategy with treasury.
-Perform SOX controls assessment. Maintain DOA and VIRSA process review.
-Provide budget support to non-manufacturing cost center owners. Assist in preparing the budget, as well as perform budget to actual analysis and challenge the spend
-Monitor the spend for fixed asset projects. Liaise with the applicable personnel to track CEA progress, CIP and asset completion.
-Assist with analysis / projects as needed (examples listed below):
-Process analysis
-ROI / DCF
-Lag Triangles Workers Compensation and Medical
-Analysis on impairment of long lived assets
-Analysis on impairment of intangible assets
Requirements:
-Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred. Three to five years of experience in an accounting or finance role at a global manufacturing company or Internal Audit or Public Accounting experience with manufacturing exposure.
-Knowledge of financial management controls, practices and approaches and GAAP and SOX requirements.
-Prior experience in public accounting is preferred.
-Strong critical thinking and intuitive problem solving skills with an attention to detail required. Healthy professional skepticism and inquisitiveness. Continuous improvement mindset.
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills, time management and project management.
-Ability to form effective working relationships while remaining objective and impartial.
-Competent with software applications including advanced Excel skills and prior SAP experience is preferred.
-Effective time management, prioritization and multi-tasking abilities.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
