Marketing Assistant

Michael Best is seeking a part-time Marketing & Business Development Assistant to assist with day-to-day administrative activities,
events
and special projects as needed.
Essential Functions:
Word document generation and assembly, including letters, envelopes, memos, etc.
Assist with the distribution of sporting event
tickets
for the Madison office (Kohl Center and Camp Randall).
Coordinate meetings.
Assist with the Catch-the-Bug and Milwaukee internal committee activities.
Follow up with attorneys following conference attendance/speaking engagements
File and archive documents.
Assist the Manager with certain directory listings (e.g., Lex Mundi).
Assist the Event Coordinator with event preparations (name tag and material development), set up, greeting guests, etc.
Maintain firm and department calendar.
Maintain the client database and update information as requested.
Work with the Director to coordinate annual attorney biography update process.
Maintain firm's intranet reference guide.
Assist with proofreading client alerts, announcements, invitations, practice description, etc.
Distribute promo items and maintain promo item inventory.
Other special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or other related field of study.
Database management experience
Word processing experience
Above average knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office programs, including experience with Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint Presentations, formatting Word documents, etc.
Detail oriented
Ability to multi-task
Excellent communication skills
Highly professional and personable
Ability to provide excellent customer service

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
