Description
The Solutions Engineer will provide technical leadership and support for customers in a highly complex data storage, virtualization and data protection environments. As a key member of the field team, the Solutions Engineer will provide pre-sales analysis, design, and recommendations as well as post sale and implementation support for storage, virtualization and data protection solutions.
This includes requirements gathering, architecture design, customization and integration with within the customer's environment. This person will work closely with Datalink sales and Datalink services support group, external vender partners, and the customers to ensure a smooth transition from presales design to implementation and support. The ideal candidate should be experienced with VMware deployments with NetApp, and/or other storage platforms such as HDS or EMC. Working knowledge of the application layer including Oracle DB, SQL or Exchange messaging and others is a plus.
This person will serve as an Engineer in designing solutions as part of Datalink's field sales teams. This
position
will require some travel and is customer facing.
QUALIFICATIONS
5
years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
NetApp, EMC or HDS disk technology
SAN/Block storage architecture and products (FC, ISCSI)
NAS based architectures (NFS, CIFS)
Replication based knowledge for major vendors (NetApp, EMC, HDS)
Must have excellent skills in two or more of the following areas:
VMware ESX
Solaris , Linux, Unix
Windows
Server Platform knowledge (Cisco, Dell, HP, and Oracle)
Excellent technical pre-sales skills, including formal presentations and white boarding of virtualization, compute and disk solutions.
Excellent knowledge of with networking technologies.
Experience working with storage, server and backup products.
Excellent analytical abilities, resulting in problem resolution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
BS in
computer
Science or equivalent experience / training towards technical certifications.
Some
wisconsin
based travel is required

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
