The Sr.
Data Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, WI will analyze business requirements, transform them to technical requirements, and design engineering solutions to address.
Create prototypes, high level and detail level technical design for proof of concepts and modernization efforts.
Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS technologies.
Drive resolution of code and data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
Work with enterprise data and analytics specialists to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
Prioritize initiatives and ensure solutions are met based on business needs and requirements.
Identify data quality issues and their root causes.
Work with Cloud services and perform activities in modernizing application using AWS.
Work with CI/CD and DevOps models, as well as relational databases including DB2 and SQL.
Utilize ETL tools including Informatica Power Center, AWS Glue, and Azure Data Factory, and Database systems including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DB2.
Perform code reviews and provide feedback to team.
Implement and use established monitoring and automation processes including Vigil, Selenium, and others.
Lead projects or project steps within larger project, act as a resource for colleagues with lesser experience, and build consensus.
Lead team during change management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week.
Salary $112,195- $203,840 per year.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or related occupation.
Experience must include 5 years with each of the following:
(1) developing data integration solutions and relational data models; (2) ETL tools including Informatica Power Center, AWS Glue, and Azure Data Factory; (3) Database systems including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DB2; (4) Data cleansing and data transformation modules in Python and PySpark; (5) DevOps and cloud technologies including AWS and Azure; (6) Data movement, SQL, and MSSQL server; and (7) designing data architecture for data marts and data warehouses in cloud.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
