The SPD is currently recruiting to fill a full-time Legal Secretary (LS) in our Milwaukee Juvenile/Mental Health Trial office.
There may be a possibility to work remote 1 day a week.

Position Summary The Legal Secretary (LS) works with attorneys and clients, providing legal secretarial support to the local office.
The LS is also responsible for evaluating individuals and determine eligibility, and appointing cases following agency and local office policies and procedures.

Salary Information This classification is in pay schedule/range 02-12 with a starting salary of $22.
95 per hour.
A one-year probationary period will be required.
Permanent classified state employees who are eligible for consideration (transfer, voluntary demotion, or reinstatement) for a position assigned to the stated pay range or counter-part pay range, should complete the application process as described above by the stated deadline.
Final selected candidates may be eligible for moving expense reimbursement to relocate to the place of employment.
Job Details A criminal background check will be done prior to an offer of employment.
This position will work at the Children's Court Center and at the Potter Road Office, as assigned by the supervisor.
