Manager, Out of School and Special Programs

Position Overview - Hybrid - In office Tues & ThursReporting to the VP, Programs and Partnerships, the Manager will provide leadership to ensure SHARP's Out of School and Special Programs are innovative, relevant and inspire students' love of learning across our K3-6th grade student base. Primary responsibilities include program planning, development, and coordination, assisting with data, progress monitoring and improving outcomes. Also, responsible for preparation of needed materials and supplies. Out of School Programs (Extended Learning and Summer) Responsibilities Serve as primary contact for all extended learning, summer, and special programs partners with support from the VP, Programs & Partnerships to secure participating sites and students. Work with VP, Programs & Partnerships to assess staffing needs and develop a plan to recruit, hire and train educators and interns. Work with VP, Programs & Partnerships to maintain current site partner relationships and recruit new sites for all programs. Work with Director of Finance to accurately price out programming costs. Create and maintain contracts for all participating sites. Ensure that there is a data collection plan for any required grant reporting information on both programs. Train educators and clearly communicate expectations to them and to site partners. Meet and work with VP, Development & Operations on grant requirements and reporting process as needed. Special Programs Develop, implement, and monitor all Special Programs including but not limited to:
Reading with the Golden Eagles, Reading with the Pios, and Reading with the Panthers Schedule all student athlete readings with SHARP Schools. Provide training and overview of SHARP's mission to the student athletes, team staff, and coaches. Attend readings as a SHARP representative to deepen partnerships, gain feedback, and take photos, as needed. Create social media posts throughout the program. Grow program to serve more students. Garden & Greenhouse Serve as primary contact for the JCI Gardens and Greenhouses and their host schools. Work with site representatives to schedule programming for extended learning time. Ensure the JCI Garden and Greenhouse educator/caretaker is trained and has the supplies and support needed to effectively run programming. School Year Collaborate with the VP, Programs of Partnerships to monitor and maintain the education database. Work with the VP, Programs & Partnerships and Manager of Innovation & Technology to assess school programming needs and assign educators. Create and maintain educator assignment sheet documents. Create and monitor reflection forms in collaboration with the VP, Programs & Partnerships Qualifications Bachelor's degree - a degree in non-profit management or education preferred. Mission driven. Minimum of five years of professional experience in any combination of non-profit, education, or program management. Adept at building and maintaining relationships with various partners and individuals. Demonstrate a natural and authentic ability to inspire others to action and to effectively collaborate within diverse settings. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage effectively within available resource allocations. Working knowledge of virtual platforms and all social media platforms. Strong project management and organization skills. Resourceful, optimistic, opportunistic, creative, innovative, flexible. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
