Summary Under the direction of the Chief MedicalOfficer, the Specialty Medical Director oversees clinical quality andoperational outcomes for the specialty medical services at ProgressiveCommunity Health Centers (PCHC).
These services currently include UrgentCare/Walk-In, Womens Health, and Podiatric Medicine.
This role isresponsible for provider oversight, advancing programming, contributingto budget discussions, focusing on service and improvingquality/disparities.
The Specialty Medical Director is also an activeclinician responsible for providing and ensuring the provision ofapplicable medical services.
Responsibilities Provides direct patientcare in an applicable medical specialty.
Oversees clinical quality byensuring excellent person-centered care, achievement of clinicaloutcomes, and high ratings in patient satisfaction.
Assurescollaboration within the department as well as across all service areasto meet the needs of the patient.
Develops strategies and protocol toensure successful implementation and performance related to patient careand coordination.
Recruits, interviews and prepares recommendations forhiring the provider staff.
Supervises and maintains excellent providerrelationships.
Manages and resolves clinical personnel issues, includingcoaching, counseling and disciplining of providers.
Performs annualperformance evaluations for provider staff; recommends and participatesin final determination of disciplinary actions and terminations asappropriate.
Leads and motivates a high-performing team.
Furthers aculture of continuous improvement through ongoing training anddevelopment of all staff.
Actively directs specialty provider meetingsand supports and works collaboratively with operational leadership asneeded.
