Join our great people at our great places designing great projects.Your Impact Works with the guidance from senior engineers to perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard engineering and design techniques. Work with multi-discipline project teams to develop drawing and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners. Attend client and design team meetings. Collaborate and coordinate with internal project discipline team members, equipment vendors and manufacturers. Design and draft sanitary, waste, vent, stormwater, domestic cold water, hot water, and recirculating hot water systems using AutoDesk's Revit platform. Prepare plumbing pipe sizing calculations. Select and schedule equipment based on load calculations. Select and schedule plumbing fixtures based on client standards and architect preferences. Perform construction administration tasks with oversight from experienced staff. Survey and evaluate existing conditions with oversight from experienced staff. Complete training on assigned tasks. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.Who You AreRequired Qualifications Actively enrolled in an accredited Plumbing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related Undergraduate program. Demonstrated interest in Plumbing Engineering or related field and have a strong desire to advance skills related to kW MCE/WSP's work and projects. Interest in innovative design for high performing data centers and mission critical facilities. Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience. Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects. Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.Preferred Qualifications Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit. Prior building design or construction internship and leadership involvement on campus. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
