Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized Parts Engineer to work out of our West Allis, WI office.
The Parts Engineer will be a responsible for parts identification, parts configuration control, non-conformance report resolution, reliability, maintainability, parts inventory, and spare parts requirements for steam turbines, generators, and auxiliaries.
The Parts Engineer will provide technical evaluation regarding spare parts inventory obsolescence.
Essential Duties Attend Customer pre-outage planning meetings with Account Managers to develop spare parts overhaul packages and detailed spare parts delivery requirements supporting outages and business forecast.
Provide technical evaluation regarding spare parts inventory obsolescence.
Provide any Customer/unit specific technical data to support Supply Chain Management.
Develop Recommended Spare Parts List (RSPL) for each unit on a component level.
Prepare work scope for stock spare parts requiring rework or repair.
Identify, screen, and qualify potential domestic manufacturing resources.
Assist in the issuance of all spare parts technical communications for parts change notification documentation.
Education and Required Experience Bachelor's degree in technical area, engineering highly preferred 1 -2 years' experience working as a Parts Engineer, preferably for a utility or turbine generator OEM (Desired).
Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening, and written) Speak and read Japanese is highly desired Physical Requirements (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
)The employee must able to lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear.
The employee is frequently required to walk.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Work EnvironmentThe majority of this work takes place in an office and the work environment is that of a typical office environment in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are usually moderate.
Frequently the employee will interact with personnel in the plant where he/she may be exposed to higher noise levels.
