WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
You will establish an organized and systematic approach to the operational needs, equipment, training, etc.
You will participate in developing and managing the budget.
You will work with the Human Resources department to develop a trained and motivated workforce.
You will foster a culture of trust, teamwork, responsibility, high expectations, and open communications.
You will Focus on Continuous Improvement initiatives as they relate to the process, equipment, and cost.
You will assist in developing and administering procedures to ensure a safe and positive working environment.
You will follow and help improve Environmental Management, Quality Management, and Safety Management systems to improve Charter Steel's performance.
You will work closely with the Engineering Department on process improvement projects.
You will administer any process improvements or quality enhancement experiments.
You will develop improvement measures and tracking.
WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE FROM YOU:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five plus years of high level maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing production facility.
Three plus years of supervision and leadership experience in electrical, maintenance, or plant engineering.
Experience in developing direct reports and building strong functional teams.
Demonstrated success in the application of safety principles such as LOTO, Confined Space, Working at Height and Contractor Safety.
Success in predictive and preventative maintenance systems.
Skilled in Facility Engineering such as high and low pressure boilers, HVAC, air handling units, sanitary sewer and building maintenance.
Able to problem solve in an efficient, effective manner using Continuous Improvement tools.
Demonstrated skills in creating and maintaining department operating costs and project budgets.
Proven project management experience, leading cross-functional teams, in the implementation and management of Continuous Improvement projects designed for production enhancement and cost control.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on active listening and customer service.
Strong understanding of plant quality systems, with a focus on internal and external customer impact.
