Electrical Engineering Supervisor Location:
Milwaukee, Wisconsin We have been retained to identify an Electrical Engineering Supervisor for our client who is a global leader in variable speed drives, motion controls and robotics.
Due to our client's continued growth, this position has been created to help lead a team of electrical engineering professionals who are responsible for the design, documentation, and release of all value-add products, options, and customer specific orders to manufacturing.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Supervise both electrical and mechanical engineers working on NPI projects.
Responsible for designing, documenting, and releasing to manufacturing all standard catalog products, options, and customer specific orders.
This is a hands-on working position that will involve designing, checking, and approving both mechanical and electrical drawings.
Investigate and approve changes to engineering documentation when manufacturing issues arise to insure on-time delivery of customer products.
Participate in new product development from the design concept to final product specification.
Requirements and Desired Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 7
years of experience Previous supervisory or team leader experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
Must have industrial control panel design experience/knowledge (preferably custom in nature) Experience negotiating with vendors supplying electrical and sheet metal components As appropriate, participate in meetings discussing technical aspects with suppliers may be required Strong technical knowledge required with experience in the electrical/electronic, and mechanical engineering discipline, and preferably related to variable frequency drives, and panel shop manufacturing (UL598A preferred) Strong written and verbal communication skills are required Knowledge of industry standards, codes and specifications i.

UL, NEC, Nema, CS Engineering of configurable products preferred as well as general ERP understanding (SAP preferred) Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and CAD (Solid Works, AutoCAD-E, ePlan) Excellent problem-solving skills and proven ability to set objectives and goals for subordinates and guide team to accomplish them ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
