Production Supervisor 2nd Shift
Job Description This is a hands-on shop floor position that ensures safety throughout the plant and daily production goals are being met.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Supervise 4-10 employees in various jobs to achieve safety and production goals Perform set-ups, tooling changes, and samples for quality approval Assist personnel in troubleshooting quality issues and machine breakdowns Train employees on company policies and processes Furnace tending and material handling Nightly shutdown of the plant Administrative duties of productivity accounting, monthly inventory and others A successful candidate should have about 5
years of manufacturing production experience.
Die casting or foundry experience a plus but not required.
The candidate should have a general knowledge of various plant equipment and of an ISO quality system.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook necessary for success.
The candidate must be reliable, trustworthy, hardworking, possess critical thinking skills and be able to communicate well with others at all levels in the organization.
Job Requirements Clean up production line waste during production and when production is Completing daily shift production reports Maintain shift production staffing levels Maintain quality and production for shift Obtain production parameters for upcoming production Fulfilling the customer demands of areas of operation while making ongoing improvements to processes to advance food safety Supervising the plant production and maintenance on a production shift Ensure safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping in assigned areas Supervising all areas and facets of plant production during shift operations Ensuring the production floor meets production targets Monitoring the production work flow and adjusting production to meet production schedule targets Supervise daily activities of production employees Supervise all plant production duties to relieve other production supervisor during vacation Direct second shift manufacturing operations to meet daily production goals Oversee the daily production operation and ensure production goals are met Maintain production and quality standards Meet production control schedules and maintains continuous flow of production Improve production quality of products Achieve minimum production standards in each production unit Assign daily tasks/assignments to production operators to meet production schedule Recommended Skills Accounting Administration Communication Critical Thinking Food Safety Furnaces Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
