Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition SummaryProvide support to the Center for Inclusion and Special Needs (CISN) to carry out essential programs for individuals with disabilities in various capacities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with monthly program development for Chaverim, an adult-social group of individuals with disabilities, and create monthly calendar to send to members.
Provide additional support during youth and adult program events.
Help CISN prepare for larger, scheduled program events.
Assume responsibilities as assigned for JCC special events.
Must actively promote and practice the organization's Positive Rules of Communication.
Perform other duties and assume additional responsibilities as needed.

QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements (KSAs) Organizational skills.
Computer skills, including knowledge of Publisher.
Flexibility.
Education and/or Experience Working towards a degree in Special Education, Exceptional Education, Human or Family Services, or other related field.
Experience working with youth and adults with disabilities a plus.
Physical DemandsThe Center for Inclusion and Special Needs has some long days, primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays, with programming that occurs into the early evening, thus, the position requires flexibility in time and hours to meet the demands of the department.
Work EnvironmentThe Center for Inclusion and Special Needs department is small yet responsible for many different factors within the Jewish Community Center, including youth and adult programs for individuals with disabilities.
We also work closely with other departments and programs to ensure inclusivity.
Recommended Skills Coordinating Microsoft Publisher Software Engineering Computer Programming Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
