2nd Shift Production Supervisor
Our client, a leading manufacturer of heavy equipment used in underground and surface mining, is seeking a 2nd Shift Welding Production Supervisor in their Milwaukee, WI location.
You'll ensure smooth operations and meet customer deadlines by interpreting specifications, blueprints, and job orders for production staff.
You'll also plan material flow, adjust work procedures, and coordinate production requirements across shifts to maintain optimal production schedules.

Supervise and manage the hourly workforce and maintain accurate time and attendance records using an online system.
Propose improvements in working conditions and equipment utilization to enhance shop and work crew efficiency.
Monitor and record employee attendance, productivity, and compliance, documenting any nonconforming issues.
Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Manage the disposition of nonconforming items, including documenting deviation requests as required, and review quality assurance documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred.
A history of effective interaction and communication with associates.
Proven ability to lead stable teams, ensuring retention and maintaining high-quality work output and schedule adherence.
Demonstrated aptitude as a change agent, with a passion for leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of LEAN principles is desired, along with effective written and verbal communication skills.
