This position interacts with all departments in the organization to develop & advance Zurn Elkay's sustainability strategy and improve Zurn Elkay's social and environmental impact.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage Zurn Elkay's scope 3 emissions, with an emphasis on purchased goods and transportation.
Collaborate with procurement and plant management to create a greenhouse gas emission reduction plan for relevant scope 3 categories.
Partner with key suppliers to improve supply chain impacts, including materials sustainability, water use, emissions, social & environmental impact Prepare all analysis needed to support supply chain sustainable recommendations Engage with suppliers to screen product components for hazardous materials and develop action plans to improve material health where necessary; build robust full material disclosure library with auditable compliance documentation Collaborate with Engineering and Sourcing teams to improve health & environmental impact of products, driven in part by knowledge gleaned from supplier outreach and product innovation teams Serve as the Supply Chain sustainability subject matter expert and work to integrate appropriate product and process sustainability initiatives throughout the supply chain.
Develop and present/deploy sustainability educational material to all Zurn Elkay staff, tailoring training material to be relevant to location type (manufacturing, distribution, corporate).
Assist in regulatory compliance, especially relating to chemical hazard or chemical restriction Research, document and share emerging best practices for supply chain sustainability Advocate for the integration of sustainability into supply chain processes Must work cross-functionally to develop processes to integrate sustainability and life cycle/systems thinking into various workflows, gather and assess data for corporate responsibility reporting
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Supply Chain or related field 5
years of experience in corporate Sustainability and/or Supply Chain.
Strong communication skills; both oral and written, and the ability to communicate with all levels of a corporation Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft applications - primarily Excel.
Proficient in Word and PowerPoint Sourcing experience a plus but not required Capabilities and Success Factors:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
