And if that's you we would love to have you join us! Job Description Reporting to the Vice President of Manufacturing, the Sr Director of Manufacturing Operations is accountable for setting the strategic direction and leading multi-plant manufacturing operations.
This scope includes responsibilities for facilities with over 1,000 employees located in plants across North America.
The position is accountable for advancing and updating core strategies/goals of manufacturing operations, including:
Optimize manufacturing processes and culture through ROS - Rockwell Operating System Deliver and improve manufacturing execution through adherence to standard processes and playbooks provided by other support functions.
Continue to advance the Connected Enterprise and Connected Supply Chain Implement a workforce strategy, including creating a culture where all employees can continuously grow and develop the skills needed to be successful, and especially the identification, development and coaching of key future leadership talent.
The Sr Director of Manufacturing Operations will pursue the position's accountabilities with relentless execution in the pursuit of world-class, nimble, and flexible manufacturing performance that supports the organization strategy by enhancing customer satisfaction and continually optimizing operational costs.
Additionally, the ideal individual will drive an inclusive work environment and be a leader in developing and coaching future globally diverse talent at all levels of the organization.
Specific responsibilities include:
In partnership with the VP Manufacturing and other senior leaders, develop and execute the company's annual operational plans, while achieving progress towards long-range plans.
Work with the other ISC functions to achieve a collaborative approach to realizing the common goal.
Lead a team of direct reports, one for each plant reporting into this position, to maximize operational performance with focus on safety, quality, cost, service, inventory, and employee engagement.
In addition, collaborate with dotted line business partners in Finance and Human Resources.
Develop and build relationships across the matrix organization.
A successful change agent at Rockwell Automation will lead change by influence and collaboration rather than by authority and control.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement with Rockwell Automation's ROS team to ensure that, as the company grows, manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for safety, cost, quality, and responsiveness.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading global manufacturing operations, including supply chain and multi-site manufacturing.
The role requires an executive who can bring immediate value to the organization and be a leading contender for more senior roles in the future.
Specifically, the qualifications for this position include:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
Legal authorization to work in the U.
S.
is required.
Preferred
Qualifications:
A minimum of 12 years of management experience leading a mix of both manufacturing operations and supply chain.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in supply chain or engineering.
Master's degree/MBA a plus.
Strong supply chain acumen with some depth in planning, scheduling, inventory management, logistics and/or strategic sourcing.
Experience with manufacturing industrial/technical products, with a strong preference for individuals with experience in manufacturing electromechanical products.
Experience developing global supply chain and/or operations strategies and successfully executing against those strategies.
A proven record of recognizing and developing top talent and future leaders, mentoring, and building superior teams.
A strong, demonstrated history of driving positive change by influencing, convincing and persuading others up the organization, laterally and below.
Expertise in problem solving and lean techniques.
The ability to be appropriately situational in transitioning from strategic/visionary thinking to tactical implementation.
