We are a growing manufacturing facility located on the south side of Milwaukee, ISO certified, focused on customers, employees, quality production and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate for this career opportunity has prior supervisory experience in manufacturing, with preference given to candidates who have worked in the Metal industry.
This role has a focus on continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and quality.
The successful Production Supervisor will lead by example and deploy best practices to ensure customer satisfaction and active employee engagement of a diverse team.
POSITION
Summary:
Directs manufacturing activities in cooperation with front line supervision; ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines.
Coordinate workflow for a two-shift operation.
Partners with operating team in the planning, budgeting and managing of day-to-day business activities as well as providing input on long term strategic goals and objectives to the senior leadership team.
Builds company image by collaborating with customers and employees; enforcing ethical business practices and maintains a safe work environment that produces quality products.

Experience:
Manages policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures.
Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
Coordinates production, including resolving issues to expedite process improvements, with management team input Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of three to five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in the metal industry, including but not limited to:
polishing, foundry, grinding, or heat treating is highly desired.
A minimum of three to five years of experience with proactive employee relations, including hiring, supervision, training, and evaluation/performance management.
Proven skills in business management, including working within a budget and cost controls Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and supervise a team.
Effective problem - solving and mediation skills.
Proficiency with technology including good computer and time management skills.
Leadership skills to effectively manage, coach, support and motivate staff throughout the organization to achieve business objectives Measurement of performance to company goals and standards and establishment of targets for improvements in safety, quality, cost, productivity, delivery and employee relations.
Good project management skills and the ability to multi-task.
