Financial Eligibility Staff Assistant Job
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Financial Eligibility supervisor, is responsible to provide flexible and timely support and assistance to the Financial Eligibility Department staff through handling all administrative tasks, and help with various specialized duties and projects.
Effectively performs daily administrative-specific duties directly related to eligibility and enrollment in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, and results-oriented environment.
Maintain updated spreadsheets, daily data entry, case noting, and retrieve information and/or data relating to financial eligibility as needed.
Provide eligibility and enrollment support to the Financial Eligibility Department.
Organizes information and escalates issues to Financial Eligibility Specialists in order to troubleshoot Medicaid eligibility and enrollment issues with the appropriate stakeholders.
Works closely with other CCI departments on member obligations, invoicing issues, and member eligibility.
Determine the cost of room and board and resolve any discrepancies.
Financial Eligibility Staff Assistant Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma required
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years recent experience providing as a Staff Assistant or similar role and with effective communication, time-management, and organizational skills required Previous work experience with public benefits, health care, social service or insurance setting preferred.
Knowledge of CWW and FhiC is a plus.
Travel:
Occasional local travel, requiring use of personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and proof of required insurance coverage.
