Summary:
THIRD SHIFT, 12-HOUR (7PM-7AM) This position has responsibility of monitoring Parsons residents on GPS monitoring on third shift according to the defined schedule.
This position reports to the Program Director of Parsons House.
The position randomly monitors all GPS Parsons residents' movements using SCRAMNET OPTIX.
The position monitors for all GPS alerts (i.
e.
, device tamper, communication failure, low and critical battery, violation of exclusion zones and unauthorized movements) and reports alerts immediately to Parsons House and the Program Directors.
Essential Functions:
Ensure GPS/SCRAM program is set up and administered according to AMS process and procedure guidelines.
Provide GPS/ SCRAM supervision and support daily for Parsons House RRC residents.
Assist to review and resolve all scheduled maintenance alerts.
Assist to review and resolve all communication alerts.
Report all alerts and violations in a timely manner by calling Parsons House and emailing the Program Directors of EM and Parsons House.
Collaborate and coordinate with Electronic Monitoring leadership regarding any concerns with the daily operations, monitoring, alerts and violations.
May be required to report in to Parsons House upon request of the Program Director for in-person meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

Flexibility to cover other security shifts as needed.
Mandatory overtime to meet coverage needs across Residential Re-entry Division.

Qualifications:
Minimal Qualifications and Salary Schedule:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Associates degree is preferred.
One-year prior work experience in corrections or related security or other social service is preferred.
Must clear Caregiver and Background checks, physical exam, and drug screen prior to hire.
Must have valid driver's license, automobile, and insurance sufficient to meet agency requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and in a positive manner with staff and residents.
Ability to de-escalate crisis situations.
Sensitivity toward cultural, ethnic, and disability issues.
Experience with CCTV and other security related equipment preferred.
Ability to learn evidence based best practices and apply skills learned to all residents' interactions.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, walk and stay awake while on shift to ensure immediate response to alerts.

Work Relationship and Scope:
Works primarily with residents.
Also interacts with other staff, probation officers, visitors, family members, employers, and the general public.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed remotely, but reporting in to Parsons House or WCS for in-person meetings may be required by the Program Director and for initial training.
