Responsibilities:
Category Management :
o Oversees a set of established or less complex spend categories.
o Answers functional department questions as they arise on assigned categories.
o Knowledge of and ability to implement strategic sourcing methodology Supplier Selection and Negotiation:
o Identifies relevant sources of supply.
o Executes category strategy, which may include negotiation or RFx process, if necessary. Negotiates agreements.
Supplier Management:
o Develops supplier scorecards and facilitates regular supplier reviews to track savings, supplier performance and service levels.
o Monitors contract compliance.
o Identifies opportunities and implements solutions for continuous improvement of quality, service, cost, etc.
Category Financial Management:
o Understands key value and cost drivers of supply markets and suppliers.
o When appropriate for a category; manages inventory levels against targets, value contracts, invoice & payment issues, etc. Involved in budgeting and forecasting processes for spend categories. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
