Write browser based systems for the generation business unit. This engagement includes the use of technical skills for developing software solutions, and working with people to extract and document system requirements. You will either be working alone on small projects or on a larger project team under a project manager or technical lead. It is desired that the successful candidate would be either a senior developer or a technical lead. You would be producing new applications as well as extending and enhancing existing applications. Support of the application after it is in production may also be required.
SKILLS:
We are looking for an Expert Java EE Programmer, specifically expert Java coder to augment our existing team of developers. Our environment has multiple layers - HTML, SOAP & REST web service, application services, hibernate, with Legacy database. We are developing using the Eclipse IDE and deploying to a JBoss server. We are building a foundation for well-written, object-oriented code that is easily maintainable and will decrease our time to market for future projects.
The applicant should have 6
years of experience and a 4 year college degree in an IT field or equivalent experience. In addition, the applicant should have a proven track record with specific examples of being an independent worker and quick learner. They should demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to speak with clients using business terms. They will be required to collaborate with internal clients and with IT resources to find solutions which meet the business need, and which are effective, accurate, and maintainable. They should be able to work well independently with minimal guidance as well as in team settings. Good communication skills are a must.
