BASIC FUNCTION: This is a strategic position focused on developing and implementing metrics and analysis to quantify the success of the key projects and initiatives at Northwestern Mutual. The focus will be on providing cross functional leadership with the analysis necessary to determine the realization of the business value of the project investments. This person will be required to translate the implementation plan of the key project into analytical and metrics requirements to ensure the design of analysis that will drive project decisions. This person will also lead others in the execution of the analysis and metrics implementation in support of the program.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: There are 2 positions available. One will support work in our Continuous Learning & Improvement IT Productivity space : Qualified candidates will have experience supporting lean process improvements in a call center environment, with an emphasis on analytics/metrics in support of the lean program. Additionally, experience with Six Sigma and functional knowledge of True North metrics is desirable. The other will support the Continuous Learning & Improvement Operations area: Qualified candidates will have experience supporting lean process improvements, agile and scrum process execution for project delivery, with an emphasis on analytics/metrics. Additionally, experience with Six Sigma and functional knowledge of True North metrics is desirable.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience/knowledge in business analytics, business operations, activities and/or cost/product pricing structure to include responsibilities such as product line reporting, operational performance metric tracking, research and data analysis, report or application development. Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to apply knowledge across complex business areas. Expertise in one or more development or analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, Business Objects, MS Excel, MS BI Suite or other tool. Strong aptitude and desire for learning new platforms, development, analytic and presentation tools; modeling, analytic and quantitative techniques. Demonstrated ability to gather information systematically; consider a broad range of issues or factors; grasp complexities and perceive relationships among problems or issues; use accurate logic in analysis. Demonstrated ability to deliver results and recommendations in written, verbal and presentation form at an appropriate level for a variety of business audiences. Strong business acumen with the ability to apply knowledge across complex business areas. Demonstrated experience as a self-starter with a drive toward action and results. Takes the initiative to seek out new information and apply to the job. Demonstrated ability to lead decision making process through idea sharing and consensus building.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
