Qualifications:
o 1 to 3 Years transportation/logistics, warehousing supply chain preferably in the beverage industry and/or consumer products. o Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Business o Knowledge and understanding of key economic drivers in truck, rail and third party suppliers this includes, fuel, base rates, service bundles and pertinent legal and government requirements. Good understanding of the interdependencies within the integrated supply chain. o Organizational and leadership skill to be part of multi-divisional activities, analyze large volumes of information, evaluate and resolve semi -complex issues in rapidly changing environment.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include: 1. Responsible for assisting in developing & implementing and driving MillerCoors transportation strategy and execution consisting of managing all truck load freight that moves from a domestic or international brewery or warehouse through to final distribution to the distributor customer. o Ensure alignment with Customer Service, Breweries, DC's, transportation providers & distributors to deliver superior service in executing daily/weekly/monthly shipment volume o Support President & Chief Commercial officers # 1 transition goal Don't drop a case o Assist in development and management of domestic and international carrier network to deliver superior service to 1800 distributors in the US, 60 international customers, 8 big domestic breweries, 5 craft / micro breweries, 9 import supply breweries, 9 distribution centers o Assist in providing management ,strategic and tactical direction for 3rd Party Logistics providers for transportation planning and execution 2. Cost effective execution of the transportation and logistics function is paramount to the success of the overall supply chain and distributor service model while maintaining highest service and quality levels o Assist in managing $500,000,000 in freight spend for domestic and international transportation (Ocean) thru analytics and recommendations to Logistics management that result in the development of programs and initiatives reducing cost, improving freshness, improving order fulfillment, and increasing overall customer satisfaction o Integral position in delivering against CSC's $200MM synergy savings target o Provide analysis in supporting monthly functional and supplier performance measurements and utilize results to manage suppliers o Assist in managing and delivering against transportation budgets 3. The position is responsible for assisting in compliance and rate management for strategic and tactical carriers including the following; o Rate analysis and management within SAP and financial budget process o Ensure that MillerCoors is SOX compliant and all controls pass internal audits o Prepare ad-hoc analysis on potential rate or rule changes initiated by carriers providing insight to Logistics management o Preferred location Milwaukee, WI Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
