The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) is currently seeking to fill a full-time Student Status Examiner-Senior (Lead) position in the Graduate Education Student Services department in the Division of Graduate Education.
The Graduate Education Student Services department supports the mission of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee by providing curricular and records services to students, faculty, staff, and UWM administrators. The Office's major objectives include establishing and managing accurate and timely curricular, student, testing and evaluation records; providing efficient, knowledgeable, and respectful delivery of services; and implementing and enforcing institutional, professional, and legal policies, standards and regulations related to academic records.
Job Description:
This position leads the Admission and Student Records area of the Graduate Education office. Specifically, this position trains new staff members; educates all (five to six) Student Services Representatives on implementation of new systems or procedures; and assigns and reviews the work of all Student Services Representatives. This position is the main contact for the ImageNow software (document scanning), and Credential Solutions (online transcripts) within the Graduate Education office. This position is the backup to our PeopleSoft Specialist. In addition, this position performs complex work involving the examination of potential and current graduate student records, and is main admission and records contact for several major programs/departments.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PeopleSoft, ImageNow, Credential Solutions.

Pay will be based on rules that apply to compensation upon transfer, reinstatement, or voluntary demotion transactions; starting pay will be no less than the minimum for range 02-12 (currently $16.502 per hour).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
